About High Commission
WELCOME TO THE HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA IN BOTSWANA
India established Diplomatic relations with the Republic of Botswana after the latter became Independent in 1966. High Commission of India in Gaborone was opened in 1987. Republic of Botswana opened its Resident High Commission in New Delhi in 2006. Botswana is an active member of Southern African Development Community (SADC), South African Customs Union (SACU), WTO and other International organizations. Relations between the two countries have always been close and friendly.
